I've been working with 12+ years of experience in Software Testing and Projects Management in an Agile environment and have hands-on experience in all stages of the software testing life cycle.
I am certified in ISTQB Foundation, IBM Certified Developer, and a Certified Scrum Master. I have a Bachelor's (B.S.) degree in Telecommunications Engineering as well as a Master's (MSc) degree in Technology Management from Pontifical Bolivarian University (UPB) in Medellin, Colombia.
I am the main organizer of the Testing Meetup: Medellin Testing Nights, a monthly event in order to generate a community around Testing in Medellín, Colombia.
I've worked on several testing projects as a QA Automation Engineer with international clients on complex challenges in finance, retail, insurance, mobile, healthcare, e-commerce, and banking companies, with knowledge of testing techniques/methodologies and how to apply them (including functional/integration, sanity, regression, automation, exploratory testing, end-to-end testing, API testing, etc.), taking the project from the planning, design, development, administration, and execution, achieving the goals and objectives that are expected by the business in the implementation of IT solutions. I've been delighted to be a leader in setting up QA best practices and understanding all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle in a regulated environment.
As QA Engineer I have thorough experience testing Web applications, and Mobile Apps on iOS and Android, also testing experience with technologies such as Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, Vue, Angular, Nodejs, Docker, Salesforce, and so on. Also, I’ve been working as a QA Automation Engineer with tools such as Selenium Webdriver, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit, Maven, Rest-Assured, and Postman; all within DevOps practices like CI/CD like Jenkins and Azure DevOps.
Douglas has advanced experience writing Automation Test scripts in the iteration cycle at multiple levels: UI, API, Integration, End-to-End, etc. in technologies like JAVA (Selenium WebDriver) and JavaScript (Cypress, Playwright) and a good understanding of REST-based web services.
I have knowledge and experience in API testing using Postman, SOAPUI, Swagger, Newman, and other tools, writing BDD scenarios using Cucumber/Gherkin, and debugging skills. Also with intermediate knowledge of Oracle and MySQL databases as well as SQL queries.
I have advanced experience using Test Management tools like Jira, Zephyr, Confluence, TestRail, and bug tracking tools like Jira. Moreover, he is passionate about Software Testing Technologies.
I have good interpersonal skills as well as excellent problem-solving skills and a strong technical background, good time management skills, and a highly collaborative, supportive, and team player who demonstrates a proactive attitude.
